GVK Reddy an Indian Philanthropist and Businessman

Gunapati Venkata Krishna Reddy, born on March 22, 1937, is an Indian businessman and philanthropist. He is the founder and chairman of the GVK Group, a major business conglomerate that focuses mainly on infrastructure development.

GVK Reddy also leads GVK EMRI, the group's Corporate Social Responsibility initiative. This emergency response service operates through a Public-Private Partnership across 15 states and two Union Territories in India. In 2009, he was appointed Chairman of the 108 Ambulance service for Andhra Pradesh.

As a tennis player and the President of the All India Senior Tennis Association, GVK Reddy has been a strong supporter of young sports talent. Under his leadership, the GVK Group has sponsored promising tennis players like Sania Mirza and Pranjala Yadlapalli.
